St. Bruno is proud offer a competitive STEM program. Providing 1:1 technology, each student has access to an electronic device. Students in TK and Kindergarten utilize iPads that belong to the school. They use a fun, engaging reading program called Pup's Quest.
Beginning in first grade, students will require a Chrome book device. We're a Google Apps school, and we use Accelerated Reader, Moby Max, and Prodigy, among other programs. Chrome book devices belong to the students (family), and are taken home each day. Chrome books are an additional educational tool we use, in conjunction with lectures, textbooks, presentations and handouts.
We teach internet safety, block-based coding, robotics programming (OzoBots, Arduino, M-bots), game design, HTML/CSS scripting, 3D design, App design, desktop publishing, web design, Makerspace, littleBits electronic lab, gardening projects (soil testing), hands-on science experiments such as making slime, we study the effects of colored lights on plant growth, and we have even hatched live chicks while studying the life cycle!
Each classroom is now equipped with a wide-screen, cable access television and new Eno boards, which are wireless interactive top-of-the-line digital white boards. Our internet was also recently upgraded to high-speed fiber optic to accommodate our increased data needs.
We're always striving to offer the most current effective technology, so our children will be prepared and ready for high school and beyond.
